Your sitter profile

What families see on your profile and how to make it stronger.

Updated Nov 3, 2026Reading time 5 min

On this page

Your profile is what a family reads before they book you, from your photo and bio to your reviews and verifications. View Profile shows it exactly as parents see it, so check it there after every change.

Open your profile

  1. Open the Me tab.

Your name, photo and the month you joined Wyndy are at the top.
  2. Tap View Profile.

You see your profile the way a family sees it, with two buttons under your photo: Edit Profile and Share.

Until your profile is complete, a Profile strength card at the top of View Profile and the editor shows how complete it is as a percentage, with a short message such as "Just getting started", "Good start, keep going" or "Almost there", and lists what's still missing. Tap any item on it to go straight to that field. Only you see this card.

What families see

Sections appear in this order. Reviews only appears once a family has written one.

SectionWhat it shows
Top of the profileYour photo, your first name and last initial, a Verified mark, and a row of numbers: your rating, your bookings or years of experience, and Background-checked.
BioYour bio, in your own words.
DetailsWhere you live, your hometown, Greek affiliation, major and class year, high school, career interests, and on-campus and off-campus involvement.
ReviewsWritten reviews from families, with their star rating, name, city and date. If there are more than fit, a See all link shows the total.
Childcare ExperienceYour years of experience and bookings, the ages you work with, your Capabilities and your Certifications.
Wyndy VerifiedEach check you passed: Application review, Identity & SSN trace, Criminal records check, Sex offender registry, plus your college marked College verified.

Families can tap any number or detail on your profile to see what it means, and tap your photo to see it full screen.

Your rating and bookings

Until a family rates you, the top of your profile says New to Wyndy instead of a rating. After your first rating, it shows your average out of 5.

The second number is your bookings once you have enough of them, and your years of experience before that. Families can tap Background-checked to read what Wyndy checked.

Childcare Experience

The experience card shows your time On Wyndy (when you joined and your bookings) next to Before Wyndy, the experience you reported in your application. Under Ages Supported, a family sees how your age groups line up with the ages of their own kids.

Certifications are self reported by all Wyndy sitters, and your profile says so.

Reviews

Only reviews with written text appear in the Reviews section. Star ratings without text still count toward your average. See Reviews for how families rate you.

Edit your profile

  1. Tap Edit Profile.

It's on View Profile, and you can also reach it from the top of the Me tab.
  2. Tap a row to change it.

Each row opens its own page with one question. Your photo is at the top of the editor; tap it to change it.
  3. Tap Done to save.

Tap Cancel to leave without saving. If you've changed something, the app asks "Discard your changes?" with Keep Editing and Discard.

On your own profile you can also tap a detail, then Edit, to change only that one field.

Your photo

  1. Tap Edit Profile, then Change photo at the top.

Pick Choose from Library or Take a Photo. Remove photo is there too.
  2. Frame it on Adjust photo.

Drag to reposition and pinch to zoom. If there's more than one face, the app asks "Which one is you?" so you can frame yourself.
  3. Tap Use photo, then Done.

Your new photo shows on your profile once it's saved.

While you frame it, the app checks the photo and gives a tip if it sees no face ("No face detected"), more than one face, or no smile. The tips are advice only, and you can still use the photo.

Share your profile

Tap Share on View Profile to open Share your profile. It builds a profile card with your photo and numbers, plus a link to your profile.

  • Share card shares the card as an image through your phone's share sheet.
  • Copy copies your profile link. It changes to Copied for a moment.
  • The card says Background checked only once you've passed Wyndy's checks.

Make your profile stronger

  • Photo. Use a clear, friendly, well-lit headshot. Families see it first, on every job you apply to.
  • Bio. Write enough for a family to get a real sense of you. The bio page shows a bar that fills as you write, and says "Great length" when you've written enough.
  • Ages and capabilities. Families compare the ages you work with against their own kids, so pick every age group you're comfortable with.
  • Certifications. Add only the ones that are current.
  • Details. Major, hometown and activities give a family something in common to talk about.

Good to know

  • The Wyndy Verified section appears on your own profile once your account is activated.
  • Your Childcare Experience section starts with what you entered in your application. You can change it here anytime.
  • Families open your profile from their list of applicants, so it's what they read right after you apply.
