Every job in Wyndy carries a status that tells you where it stands and what happens next. Parents and sitters see different labels for the same job, so this page lists both and shows how they line up.
Statuses move on their own with the clock and with what each side does. A parent never has to update a status by hand, and neither does a sitter, apart from submitting hours and paying.
Parent Jobs tab sections
The parent Jobs tab is one feed split into sections. A section only appears when it has a job in it, and the most urgent section is always on top.

Drafts don't appear in the feed. When you have any, a banner reads "{n} unfinished jobs are waiting in Drafts", and each draft carries a Draft label. See Draft jobs.
Parent job statuses
Each job card shows one status label, a status line, and at most one button. When a job has more than one sitter booked, the card shows the status that needs you most.

The status line
Under the label, a sentence says the same thing in plain words. Open the job to see it with the steps that come next.

While a job is posted with nobody booked, the next steps under the line remind you that "Cancelling to repost this job is free since there's no one booked yet". See Cancelling a job.
Recurring jobs
A recurring job starts with a trial date. Until the trial job is paid, its card says "Trial job for {days} care", such as "Trial job for weekday care". After that it says "Recurring {days} care". See Recurring care.
Past jobs
Each row under Past jobs shows the date, your sitter's name and one of these outcomes.

If you aren't a member, a past job with your sitter can also show Message {Name} until {time} while the chat is still open.
Applicant list sections
Tapping Review applicants opens the job's applicant list. It has these parts.

If a sitter withdraws, they leave the list. Opening the notification about their application then shows "Sitter is no longer available" and "This sitter is no longer interested in this job." See Applicants and booking.
Sitter statuses

Bookings tab
Booked jobs sit under Active, Completed or Canceled. Each card has one of these labels.

Reminder chips
Small cards at the top of your Jobs tab follow your next bookings. You can swipe one away, and it won't come back for that stage.

Your application and account

Membership statuses
The membership screen shows a pill on your membership card: Active, Cancelled (you cancelled, and the perks last until the end date) or Expired (the membership has ended). See Wyndy Membership and Sitter subscription.
One job from start to finish
Say a parent posts a job for Saturday from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m., and books Maya on Wednesday.

Good to know
- Happening now follows the schedule, not the sitter's arrival. The app doesn't clock sitters in, so the label means the job's time has started.
- If your only booked sitter cancels before the start, the job goes back to Posted and nearby sitters are alerted again. Sitters who applied earlier get "{Parent} needs a sitter again" and have to apply again to be considered.
- Payment failed only shows while you're paying. If you leave and come back, the job reads Ready to pay again until a payment goes through.
- A cancelled job moves straight to Past jobs, even if its date is still ahead.
- A job with two or more sitters booked shows "{n} sitters are booked", and the card's button reads View job instead of messaging one sitter.
Questions
My sitter finished, but the job still says Wrapping up
Your sitter hasn't submitted their hours yet. You can't pay until they do. Message them to remind them, and you'll get the push "Time to pay" when the hours come in.
Why does my posted job say "Still looking for your sitter"?
Nobody has applied after a day, or the start is less than a day away. You can message a sitter who opened your job, raise the rate and post again, or ask for help. Cancelling is free while nobody is booked.
As a sitter, how long do I wait at Waiting for Payment?
At most 24 hours after you submitted your hours. If the family hasn't paid by then, their card is charged automatically.
What's the difference between Cancelled and Not filled?
Cancelled means someone called the job off. Not filled means the start time came and went with nobody booked.
