Reviews
Reviewing families after a job, and how families review you.
On this page
Reviews go both ways on Wyndy. You rate the family right after you confirm your hours, and the family rates you when they pay.
Review a family
The review screen opens on its own after you tap Confirm hours at the end of a job.
-
Pick a star rating.
The screen is titled Leave a review and asks "Did you like working with" the family. Five stars are selected to start; tap a star to change it. -
Write a few words (optional).
The box asks how the family was and invites you to let other sitters know. Mention what helped, like clear instructions or easy parking. -
Tap Continue.
Your review is saved and you see your completed jobs count. To skip the review, tap the × at the top instead.
Where your review shows
- Your star rating counts toward the family's rating, shown at the top of their profile once they have one.
- If you wrote something, your review appears in the Reviews section of the family's profile, with your first name and last initial, your city and the date.
- Other sitters read the family's profile before they apply, so an honest review helps them decide.
How families review you
When a family pays for a job, the wrap-up screen asks "How did" you do, with 1 to 5 stars.
- Once they pick a rating, they can write a review. The box asks if they'd book you again.
- They can also add you to their Favorites from the same screen. Families can share new jobs straight with their favorites.
Where it shows on your profile
| On your profile | What families see |
|---|---|
| Before your first rating | New to Wyndy, instead of a rating. |
| After you're rated | Your average rating out of 5 and how many ratings it's based on. |
| Reviews section | Reviews that include written text, with the family's star rating, first name and last initial, city and date. See all opens every written review. |
A rating without written text counts toward your average but doesn't appear in the Reviews section.
Five-star notification
When a family gives you 5 stars, you get a notification with their name saying they gave you a 5-star review. Tap it to open the booking.
Read reviews
- Your reviews. Go to Me, then View Profile. You see your Reviews section exactly as families do.
- A family's reviews. Tap the family's name on any job or booking to open their profile, then scroll to Reviews.
Good to know
- Ratings and reviews are tied to a job, so they only come from families you've sat for.
- If you skip the review screen, the job still completes and you're still paid.
Questions
Why don't I have a rating yet?
No family has rated you yet. Your profile shows New to Wyndy until your first rating.
A family rated me but I can't see the review
They gave a star rating without writing anything. It counts toward your average, but only written reviews appear in the Reviews section.
Can I review a family later?
No. The review screen only opens right after you confirm your hours, and there's no other place in the app to review that job.
