Your Jobs tab

Where every job lives once it's posted or booked, and what you can do with each one.

Updated Nov 3, 2026Reading time 9 min

On this page

The Jobs tab holds every job you've posted or booked, sorted so the one that needs you is at the top. Tap any job to open its page, where you message your sitter, add it to your calendar, pay, get help or cancel.

How the Jobs tab is organized

Jobs are grouped into sections, and a section only appears when it has something in it. Each heading has a small count of the jobs inside it.

SectionWhat's in it
Happening nowA booked job whose scheduled start time has passed and whose end time hasn't.
Wrapping upA job whose scheduled end has passed, while you wait for your sitter to submit their hours.
Needs your attentionJobs that are waiting on you: applicants to review, or hours to check and pay.
Upcoming jobsPosted jobs that are still looking for a sitter, offers you've sent, and booked jobs that haven't started.
Past jobsPaid, completed, cancelled and unfilled jobs, newest first. The tab shows the latest 3. Tap See all for the full history.

Within a section, the job that's most urgent comes first, then the one that starts soonest. Pull down on the list to refresh it.

The top of the tab has two shortcuts. The location pill opens your Locations, and your photo opens the Me tab. A dot on the Jobs tab icon means a sitter has applied and you haven't seen them yet.

If you've never posted, the tab shows "Get started by posting your first job :)" with an arrow pointing to Post a job.

Drafts

If you started posting a job and didn't finish, a banner at the top says how many unfinished jobs are waiting in Drafts. Tap it, or go to Me, then Draft Jobs. Tap a draft to pick up where you left off, or tap Options, then Delete draft, then Yes, delete to remove it.

What each job card shows

Every card shows the date and time, the sitter (or sitters) once someone's booked, a status line in plain words, and at most one button. A recurring job also carries a label, such as "Trial job for weekly care".

The job page

Tap a card to open the job. A job that isn't booked yet opens its applicants list (see Applicants and booking). A booked job opens its own page, which changes as the job moves along.

Before the job

  • Status panel. A short headline, such as "Maya is booked" and when it starts, with a list of what happens next.
  • Your sitter. Tap their name or photo to see their profile. Tap Message to open your chat, or Call or text to choose Text or Call.
  • Job details. Tap to expand what you shared, under the note "This information was provided to Maya": Kids (with ages and any needs) and Your notes.
  • Add to calendar. Adds the job to your phone's calendar. Once it's there, the row reads In your calendar. If the job's time changes, it reads Update calendar.
  • Estimated total. What Maya earns, the Service fee, the Processing fee and the Total, at the hours you booked, with the card it'll be charged to. Tap the info icon to read "Nothing is charged until you review and pay": your sitter submits the hours they actually worked, and the final total follows those.
  • Membership savings. If you aren't a member, a line shows what you'd save on this job by becoming a Wyndy Member, with a Join button.
  • Add a payment method. Shown with an Add button if there's no card on file yet.

From 2 hours before the start, the status changes to "Maya arrives soon" and a panel counts down to the start time. In the last minute it reads "Any minute".

Adding a job to your calendar

The first time you tap Add to calendar, your phone asks for calendar access. With access, Wyndy keeps the event up to date if the job changes. If you say no, you'll see "Calendar access is off" with two choices: Add without it adds the job once, without updates, and Open Settings lets you turn access on. Each sitter on a group job gets their own event.

While the job is running

The page shows how much time is left, such as "1h 30m left", and a map of the job's address. The map is a preview of the location, not live tracking of your sitter.

A Need a hand? panel stays on the page from 2 hours before the start until your sitter submits their hours. If your sitter hasn't arrived, or something isn't right, tap Get help and the Wyndy care team steps in. Once the job has started, you'll also see a row named after your sitter, such as Maya never arrived. It opens a help request that already says so and names the job.

After the job

Once the scheduled end passes, the page says it's waiting for your sitter to confirm their hours. When they submit them, it changes to "Review Maya's hours and pay" with the amount due and a Review & pay button. See Paying and tipping.

After you pay, the page shows a receipt: who sat, where, the time booked and the time worked, each line of the payment, your review and the rating your sitter gave you. Tap Share to send an image of the receipt, or Detailed PDF for a PDF copy.

Good to know

  • If your sitter cancels before the start, the job goes back up for other sitters to apply, and you get a notification and an email. If they cancel within 24 hours of the start, you also get a $10 Wyndy credit.
  • If nobody is booked by the start time, the job moves to Past jobs as Not filled. You aren't charged for it.
  • If something comes up during a job, message your sitter, and use Get help on the job to reach the Wyndy team.
  • A job can sit in Wrapping up for a while. It stays there until your sitter submits their hours, and you can message them in the meantime.
  • Group jobs can have more than one sitter. The card lists every booked sitter, and the job page shows each one separately with their own receipt. See Churches and groups.
  • A posted job has no edit option. To change the time or details, cancel it and post a new one.

Questions

Why is my job under Needs your attention?

Something is waiting on you: sitters applied, or your sitter's hours are ready to pay. The card's button takes you to the next step.

Where did my finished job go?

It's under Past jobs. The tab shows the latest 3, and See all shows the rest.

My sitter's job ended but I can't pay yet. Why?

You can pay once your sitter submits their hours. Until then the job sits under Wrapping up. Message them if it's been a while.

Can I see where my sitter is?

No. The map on a running job shows the job's address, not your sitter's location.

Still stuck? Open the Wyndy app and go to Me, then Help, or contact the Wyndy team.
