Sharing your profile

Your profile card and link, for families you meet outside Wyndy.

Updated Oct 15, 2026Reading time 3 min

On this page

You can share your Wyndy profile as a picture card or a link, so families you meet outside the app can see who you are and find you on Wyndy. The card shows only what's already on your public profile: your first name and last initial, your photo, your rating and your experience.

Share your profile

  1. Tap Me, then View Profile.

Your profile opens the way families see it.
  2. Tap Share.

It's next to Edit Profile, under your numbers. A sheet opens called Share your profile, with your card.
  3. Tap Share card, or Copy next to the link.

Share card opens your phone's share sheet with the card as an image, so you can post it to a story or send it in a text. Copy puts your link on the clipboard and changes to Copied for a moment.
  4. Tap Done.

    The sheet closes.

On Android, the link is sent along with the image. On iPhone the image goes on its own, so copy the link too if you want people to be able to tap through.

What's on the card

The card looks like a ticket on a purple background. The top half says who you are; the bottom half has your numbers and your link.

PartWhat it shows
HeaderThe Wyndy logo and your profile number, such as "No. 48213".
YouYour photo, your name as families see it, such as "Maya R.", and "Wyndy Sitter".
Background checkedShown between two laurels once your application is approved.
RATINGYour star rating, such as "★ 4.9", or "New" if no family has rated you yet.
BOOKINGS or EXPERIENCEYour number of Wyndy bookings once you have 10 or more. Before that, your years of childcare experience, such as "3+ yrs".
LinkYour profile link, wyndy.com/sitter-share/ followed by your profile number, with a barcode above it.

The card updates on its own as your rating and bookings change. Share it again any time to send the latest version.

Your link opens a page on wyndy.com. In a text or a social post, the preview shows your photo, and your first name and last initial followed by "Verified Babysitter". A few seconds after the page opens, it takes the visitor to your public Wyndy profile.

Your public profile includes your about section, your childcare experience (the ages you work with and what you're comfortable doing), your availability, your Wyndy verifications and your reviews. A Message Maya button starts the family on their way to contacting you through Wyndy.

How a family books you

  1. They join Wyndy as a parent.

They download the app and sign up.
  2. They find you.

In the Sitters tab, they can look for you with Search for a sitter, then tap Favorite on your profile so you're easy to find again.
  3. They post a job from your profile.

Tapping Post a job on your profile includes you in the job. You get a notification that says they invited you.
  4. You apply, and they book you.

You apply like any other job. Once they book you, the job is yours and payment happens in the app.

See Job alerts and invites for what the invite looks like.

Good to know

  • Families can share your profile too. A parent viewing your profile can tap Share to send the same card, titled "Share Maya's profile".
  • Your card never shows your full last name, phone number or address. It only uses what's on your public profile.
  • Keep jobs on Wyndy. When a family books and pays you in the app, you're paid through your Wyndy balance and the job is covered by Wyndy's cancellation policy.
  • If sharing fails, you'll see "Could not share the card" and "Please try again." Copying the link still works.

Questions

Why doesn't my card say Background checked?

It appears once your application is approved. Until then, the card shows your name and numbers without it.

Why does my card show experience instead of bookings?

The card switches to your bookings count once you've completed 10 or more bookings on Wyndy.

Can I change what's on the card?

The card is built from your profile. Edit your photo or name from Edit Profile and the card follows. See Your sitter profile.
