Hi! My name is Sofia, I’m 22 years old and currently pursuing my Associate’s degree in Business. I’ve been working with children since I was 14 years old through babysitting, nannying, summer camps, church volunteering, and nearly two years as a full-time au pair and nanny.I have experience with children of all ages, from infants to teenagers, and I genuinely love working with kids. I’m actively involved in my local community and volunteer in children’s ministry at my church in Castle Rock. Working at a gymnastics gym with children ages 2 to 14 for the past 6 years. Managing groups of 6 to 10 kids at a time. Setting up lessons and accommodations for each different skill levels in the group.Volunteering to help in classrooms provides by programs in school.Neighborhood babysitting with 1 - 3 children, late and long hours.

I initially graduated college in 1974 with a BA in elementary education and have since graduated with 3 more degrees.I began teaching in an elementary school in 1975.During my time at Patterson Elementary I served as a reading specialist and gifted and talented teacher. In 1982, my daughters and I moved to Fort Collins after I accepted a teaching position with Poudre School District. During my time with the district I taught at 4 elementary schools, was an elementary literacy specialist was principal at Linton Elementary, and Director of Curriculum and Instruction.I also held administrative positions in Durango and Brush. After retiring from public education, in 2013, I joined a family as their nanny.I have been fortunate to serve as a nanny with 3 other families.The children have ranged in age from newborn to age 8.Family references and personal references are available upon request.

Current undergrad at Colorado State University, back home in San Diego for the summer and looking into back into childcare for the summer!
