Hello there!! My name is Hannah K, I am 21 years old, and a recent graduate from the University of Wisconsin–Madison with a degree in Psychology. I’m originally from California but recently moved to NYC as I am an incoming Master’s student at Columbia University for Mental Health Counseling this fall.I am fluent in English and have limited proficiency in Korean. I am very excited for the opportunity to be a babysitter and to support families in creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for their children.I have been working and volunteering with children since high school and throughout college in a variety of settings. This includes roles as a childcare worker at local community centers as well as volunteering with refugee organizations. Hi, I’m Lila! I am currently a freshman at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, where I am double majoring in Child Development and Educational Policy Studies. I have loved working with children for as long as I can remember and hope to pursue a career that allows me to continue this passion!I have experience assisting at a local daycare with infants and toddlers and have been babysitting regularly since I was 11 years old. I also have two years of experience working at a Chicago Park District day camp with children ages 5–13, a role I plan to continue! I am very passionate about art education and am well-versed in helping kids find creative outlets early in their life! I took one formal year of a child development class in high school, where I looked after kids from 7mo-5 years of age for a few hours every day for the entire year. I have also worked as a mentor for high school-aged students on the speech and debate/forensics team at my high school, in addition to looking after my cousins growing up. I have also taken a few child development classes at my alma mater, UW-Madison, focused on how children learn using art education. I volunteered last summer with a nonprofit in Wisconsin to create healthy breakfast menus for their summer program that feeds kids from 0-12 years of age. I also interned at another Wisconsin nonprofit that worked with K-12 schools to educate kids on civic engagement. All of this, combined with my entire community/friend group being educators (whether future professors or current teachers), makes me confident in my ability to work with and truly connect with kids. I would love to work around my schedule as a graduate student at the University of Chicago and am flexible about my start date!
