Hello there!! My name is Hannah K, I am 21 years old, and a recent graduate from the University of Wisconsin–Madison with a degree in Psychology. I’m originally from California but recently moved to NYC as I am an incoming Master’s student at Columbia University for Mental Health Counseling this fall. I am fluent in English and have limited proficiency in Korean. I am very excited for the opportunity to be a babysitter and to support families in creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for their children. I have been working and volunteering with children since high school and throughout college in a variety of settings. This includes roles as a childcare worker at local community centers as well as volunteering with refugee organizations. Through these experiences, I have received training in culturally responsive and trauma-informed care, and I have learned how to support children with diverse backgrounds, needs, and experiences in a compassionate and patient way. My academic background in psychology has also strengthened my understanding of child and adolescent development, emotional regulation, and the importance of stable, supportive relationships in early life. I genuinely love working with kids and find it incredibly rewarding to help them feel safe, confident, and cared for. I would describe myself as warm, responsible, attentive, and dependable. I also bring a strong sense of initiative and adaptability, and I am always eager to learn and grow in order to better support the families I work with. Whether it’s helping with homework, engaging in creative play, or maintaining routines, I aim to provide attentive and thoughtful care tailored to each child’s needs.
