With 6 years of childcare experience, I’ve developed a deep understanding of working with both preschool-aged and school-age children. As a preschool teacher for 2 years, I focused on guiding young children through important developmental stages. I designed and implemented lesson plans that supported their cognitive, emotional, social, and physical growth. Through play-based learning, hands-on activities, and a nurturing classroom environment, I helped children develop foundational skills like language, literacy, and motor abilities. I also maintained communication with parents to keep them informed of their child's progress and needs.In my role as a summer camp counselor for 4 years, I worked with older children, organizing and leading various recreational activities such as arts and crafts, and team-building games. I helped children develop their social skills and independence by fostering a positive, engaging atmosphere where they could learn teamwork and build confidence. My duties extended to ensuring safety during outdoor activities and being a mentor and role model for the campers.The ideal job for me would be working with a maximum of 4 children ages 3+ short or long term. I am available to work in the mornings Wednesday and Friday until 12:30 PM, and every evening after 6:00 PM. I have a sparkling driving record and own a car with two latches for car seats and feel comfortable driving with children in the backseat. I am also willing to assist with homework and light housekeeping if needed. I am severely allergic to cats and cannot work in a home that has them as pets.
