Hello, my name is Carleigh C! I am currently pursuing my Master of Accountancy at Samford University while preparing to sit for the CPA exam. I was on the Samford cheerleading team for 4 years. I have been babysitting for many years and have experience with all ages. I am a triplet and one of 7 kids!

Hi there :) I am a graduating senior at Samford University, studying Health Sciences! With my degree I am hoping to pursue my doctorate in Occupational Therapy. I am a Samford University Ambassador and involved in a sorority on campus. I love playing outside with my friends, getting creative with art or fun projects, and spending time with my loved ones any chance I get! I also am giddy to share that I will be getting married this July and plan to stay in Birmingham afterwards!I have had a heart for childcare for as long as I could remember! Even when I was little I would ask to go with my mom to volunteer on Sunday mornings in our church's nursery. Once I was around 12, I began babysitting for families in my church. I started to volunteer for children's ministries and childcare opportunities. Since then I have babysat throughout middle school, high school, and college. I have cared for a wide range of ages, from newborns to 13 years old. This past summer I became certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) for all ages. I have babysat for long periods and even overnight stays. I also have experience caring for children with a wide range of ability levels. Because I want to pursue pediatric occupational therapy, I have shadowed and volunteered in the Mountain Brook School System, several outpatient clinics, inpatient services, and other opportunities. More professionally, I worked at my local Chick-Fil-A in high school alongside my babysitting jobs. The summer after senior year of high school, I was able to be a paid intern for the church's children ministry. For 2 of my college summers, I worked as a full-summer counselor and senior counselor at Pine Cove Camps. To work in childcare I believe it is necessary to value the hearts of the parents/caregivers as much as you value the heart of the children. This means you must be as reliable, trustworthy, and excellent as you would be for a position with an organization/company. When you volunteer, babysit, or nanny you must remember that this child you are caring for is someone's biggest blessing, so you must also care for them as if they are your biggest blessing!
