I’m [Kenzie], a responsible college student at ULM, majoring in Speech Language Pathology , with the drive in pursing my profession , along with opening my own childcare center and provide speech therapy. With a strong understanding of newborn and infant care.I’ve learned a lot about caring for babies through the multiple centers i’ve worked at, and my own free lance babysitting/nannying job. I’m patient, gentle, and detail-oriented — the type to follow every instruction you leave. I’m also CPR/First Aid certified . I’m currently a student at ULM my major is nursing. I’ve been working at a daycare for my campus for about a year. I am CPR certified. I mainly work with 2 year olds and 1 year olds, but I am capable of working with other ages.

I have several years of professional experience working with children in both educational and behavioral health settings. Pre-K 3 Teacher – Mini Scholars Daycare (West Monroe, Louisiana) 2+ Years As a Pre-K 3 teacher, I created a safe, engaging, and nurturing classroom environment for young children. I planned and implemented age-appropriate lessons and activities that promoted cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development. I also monitored student progress, managed classroom behavior using positive reinforcement, communicated regularly with parents, and helped prepare children for a successful transition into school. Mental Health Professional (MHP) – Medicaid In-Home Behavioral Health Services 2+ Years Using my Bachelor's degree in Psychology, I provided in-home behavioral health services to children and families through Medicaid. I worked one-on-one with children to improve emotional regulation, communication, coping skills, social skills, and behavior. I collaborated with parents and caregivers to implement treatment plans, documented client progress, and helped families develop strategies to support children's emotional and behavioral needs in the home and community.Additional Childcare Experience In addition to my professional roles, I have babysat for multiple families over the years, caring for children of various ages. These experiences have strengthened my ability to build trust, adapt to each child's unique personality and needs, and create a safe, positive environment. Working with children has always come naturally to me. I often say that I connect more easily with children than I do adults because I genuinely enjoy building relationships with them, earning their trust, and helping them learn, grow, and feel supported. My experience has given me a strong foundation in child development, behavior management, communication, problem-solving, and building positive relationships with children and their families.
