About Tessa

Hello! I am a 31 year old married mother to be. I am a caring, patient, responsible, and enthusiastic person who enjoys working with children. I have experience teaching students from kindergarten through sixth grade, which has helped me develop strong communication skills and an understanding of how to connect with children of different ages and personalities. I taught K–6 students marine biology, creating fun and engaging learning experiences that encouraged children to ask questions, explore, and learn about the world around them. I enjoy bringing that same creativity and enthusiasm into childcare through educational activities, games, reading, crafts, and outdoor play. My Childcare Experience Through my experience teaching K–6 marine biology, I have developed valuable skills in supervising children, keeping them engaged, explaining things in age-appropriate ways, and creating a safe and positive environment. I am comfortable working with younger children as well as elementary-aged kids and understand the importance of patience, encouragement, and clear communication. As a babysitter, I would make sure children are safe, cared for, and having fun while following their parents’ routines and expectations. Whether we are exploring nature, doing a creative activity, reading a book, playing outside, or simply enjoying time together, I want children to feel comfortable, supported, and excited to learn and play. I am dependable, attentive, and genuinely enjoy helping children grow, learn, and have fun.
