About Shannon

Hi there! My name is Shannon W, and I’ve been working with and raising kids for the last 30+ years. I have been working with children since I was a young teen, and it’s truly my life’s passion. I am a mom of four great kiddos who are getting older and don’t need me quite as much, so I decided it was a good time to reach out and help other families looking for childcare. Thru the years, I have babysat, nannied, worked in childcare centers and in schools. I adore kids and sincerely enjoy interacting with them. If you’re looking for someone who will get down on the floor and play with your kids, read them stories, and take them outside to play I’m your person! I have experience with children of all ages, multiples, and special needs children. I’m not easily frazzled, and have been told I’m good at staying calm and levelheaded in stressful situations and have a natural talent for helping children de-escalate. A little about me: I’d rather be outdoors than inside, I enjoy working out, reading, watching sports, and love animals, especially dogs. I’m a few credit hours shy of finishing my degree (one of these days!), but my major in college was Education with an Early Childhood Education minor.
