Hello! I am Bethany, I recently moved to Meridian from Anchorage, Alaska for my husband to attend medical school at ICOM. I have several semesters of college credits focused on allied health sciences, I am not currently enrolled but am looking into programs offered at local colleges here. I have over 10 years of experience in child care, ranging from ages of just a few weeks to school-age children, in both in-home and daycare settings. I am patient, empathetic, and creative. As a childcare-giver I strive to always be present with your child, and to create a safe, nurturing, emotionally regulating environment. I prioritize age, or stage, appropriate learning and movement and facilitate an environment that grows and changes with the child it serves. I love to incorporate indoor and outdoor active-play and exploration, reading, art, and cooking. I am top-rope certified and can facilitate trips to local climbing gyms if desired. As a nanny, I prefer a screen-free environment. As the child's schedule allows, I utilize nap/quiet times to provide extra support to families by helping with meal-prep, laundry, and light household cleaning. Throughout my 10+ years of experience, a common thread for me has been how much I learn from each family I work with. I love learning and leaning into individual family-cultures, values and lifestyles. I've cared for the children of physician's assistants, pediatricians, doctors, nurses, physical therapists, and child therapists and in-turn gained valuable insight from all of them, enriching my approach to childcare.
