Hello! I’m Allison and I’m a junior at Samford. I am studying Human Development and Family Sciences. I’m from Johnson City, Tennessee. I am Tennessee State Industry Certified in Human and Social Science and worked at my high school’s daycare for 4 years. I’ve nannied for many families back home during the summers, and have been babysitting around the Birmingham area since moving to Samford! For the past for the past 6 years, I have babysat or worked in child care. During the summer, between college I worked at a daycare/child watch center within my community and continue to work there now. We work with children aged from 6 weeks to 7 years old. I also worked at Greenview Park for their summer camp; the ages were five years old to 13 years old. When I babysat, I worked with ages four weeks to 16 years old. I was also a preschool teacher for a year at 5 star academy. I genuinely enjoy my time with the children and being able to have different experiences with each child. Children are the future of the next generation, and a good babysitter(s) can make an impact on many children. Additionally, I am certified in AED, First Aid, and CPR.
