I have worked with children in a variety of settings, including as an art teacher at local community centers and an aftercare/enrichment teacher at elementary schools and summer programs. My primary experience is with 5-12 year olds, but I have some experience with preschool-age children as well. I am CPR and First Aid certified, experienced with neurodivergence/disability, a good cook, and I love pets. My goals as a caregiver are to promote children's autonomy while modeling appropriate boundaries, to listen attentively to kids, and to honor their play and curiosity. Some of my favorite ways to connect with kids include through creative projects, sharing books, and spending time outside. I love to encourage imaginative play and to learn from kids about their interests. I am proudly non-binary trans and I would love to work with queer kids and/or families.

During my high school years, I gained experience as a babysitter and tutor for a family with a 1st grader and a 5th grader, providing tutoring once a week while babysitting on weekends as needed. This role allowed me to support the children mainly academically while also planning fun and engaging activities on the weekedn. When I transitioned to college amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, I became a nanny for a family with a kindergartener and a 2nd grader. In this capacity, I dove deeper into a family helper where my role included making meals and grocery shopping as well as light cleaning. Additonally helping the children navigate their schoolwork as the next school year had shifted to online learning. ​I adapted my approach to provide educational support, ensuring that their needs were met during these challenging times, while also fostering a sense of routine but alos engagement amidst during remote classes.

I have worked as a nurse for the last seven years. Prior to that, I worked with kids ranging from infants to teens for date nights and nannying. I have babysat and nannied for about a decade collectively. I have experience babysitting/part time nannying for a medically complex child which included transport to appointments. Hello! I am a recent grad from Western Washington University, where I studied environmental sciences with an emphasis in marine sciences. I love being in nature and getting outside as much as I can! I enjoy trail running, mountain biking, hiking, kayaking and yoga! I also love reading a good book and spending time with animals, friends and family. I also love to travel! I just got back from 3 1/2 months of traveling in Europe and Southeast Asia. It was the craziest and most educational time of my life thus far.
