I have worked with children in a variety of settings, including as an art teacher at local community centers and an aftercare/enrichment teacher at elementary schools and summer programs. My primary experience is with 5-12 year olds, but I have some experience with preschool-age children as well. I am CPR and First Aid certified, experienced with neurodivergence/disability, a good cook, and I love pets. My goals as a caregiver are to promote children's autonomy while modeling appropriate boundaries, to listen attentively to kids, and to honor their play and curiosity. Some of my favorite ways to connect with kids include through creative projects, sharing books, and spending time outside. I love to encourage imaginative play and to learn from kids about their interests. I am proudly non-binary trans and I would love to work with queer kids and/or families.
