Hi! My name is Lily and I am currently enrolled to be a Ballet Pedagogy major at the University of Hartford. My babysitting experience includes babysitting for a family with four children for around three years, ages six, four, and two. I took a trip to Florida as a nanny for this family. I also babysat for a family of four girls, ages seven, five, three, and one, for date nights and such for three years. After this I babysat for a family with two children, ages two and 10 months, for around a year. During all babysitting jobs I enjoy playing outside with kids, reading stories to them, playing games, encouraging imagination, and doing arts and crafts. Additionally, if there is extra time or during nap time I will clean/tidy up, do the dishes, and organize as requested. My main focus is always engaging with kids, so that we can have a fun time while being safe. I am additionally CPR and First Aid certified by the American Heart Association. I'm the eldest of three and began caring for children at a young age first starting with my two younger siblings. This in turn ignited in me a passion for child development that lead me to seek a degree in child education.I have worked with a diverse set of families for 10+ years and have experience working with children of all ages and needs including children with intellectual disabilities ranging from 5 to 17 years of age. My experience also includes being hired as a nanny for a single dad who worked in Prudhoe Bay, AK who worked a schedule of two weeks on and two weeks off. In this role I was responsible for being the sole guardian of his five children while he was away at work —their ages were 10 to 17 years old. Aside from that I accomplished encouraging his older daughter to attend the Alaska Military Youth Academy and served as her youth mentor for the duration the program and after her graduation.
