Hi! My name is Deja, and I’m a licensed childcare provider, preschool teacher, and the owner ofDavid’s Kingdom Academy in California. I currently work at the preschool program at Pierce College and have also worked at Southwest College Child Development Center. In addition, I completed my internship at Weekday Preschool, where I gained hands-on experience supporting children through structured learning, creative play, and social-emotional development.I have over 4 years of experience working with children through childcare centers, church programs, homeschooling support, and private childcare. I am CPR/First Aid certified, Mandated Reporter certified, and trained in child safety and child development practices.I recently earned my AA degree in Child Development from Pierce College and will be transferring to California State University, Northridge to continue pursuing my bachelor’s degree and Director’s Permit in Child and Adolescent Development.As a mother of four, I understand how important trust, patience, communication, and dependable care are for families. Hello ,A little about me I have 2 sisters a younger and older one making me the middle child. I am very close with my younger sister and feel as if I was her second mom, my younger sister is diagnosed with autism so learning to help her needs and encouraging her to be confident is something that I found very important. My previous jobs were working for the YMCA for summer camp and during my sophomore year in college I have been an avid tutor for children in middle school. My hobbies include hiking, music and quality time with family and friends.

I have about one year total of experience babysitting over the years, and have been a certified preschool teacher for the past year. I also have my certifications in First Aid and CPR training.I have a car, am comfortable with pets, and am willing to help with carpooling and light housekeeping.
