About Deja

Hi! My name is Deja, and I’m a licensed childcare provider, preschool teacher, and the owner of David’s Kingdom Academy in California. I currently work at the preschool program at Pierce College and have also worked at Southwest College Child Development Center. In addition, I completed my internship at Weekday Preschool, where I gained hands-on experience supporting children through structured learning, creative play, and social-emotional development. I have over 4 years of experience working with children through childcare centers, church programs, homeschooling support, and private childcare. I am CPR/First Aid certified, Mandated Reporter certified, and trained in child safety and child development practices. I recently earned my AA degree in Child Development from Pierce College and will be transferring to California State University, Northridge to continue pursuing my bachelor’s degree and Director’s Permit in Child and Adolescent Development. As a mother of four, I understand how important trust, patience, communication, and dependable care are for families. I love creating fun, safe, and educational experiences through play, learning activities, outdoor time, homework help, and positive guidance. My goal is to provide children with a nurturing environment where they feel supported, encouraged, and cared for while giving parents peace of mind knowing their child is in good hands.
