About Ariel

Hi there! I am a compassionate, patient & creative childcare professional with 10+ years of experience caring for children aged 5 months-12 years, including neurodivergent children and children with disabilities. I have taught in preschools, daycares, and camps; babysat and nannied for many families; and even toured social-emotional learning theatre programs to schools across Washington! Currently, I am a full-time Assistant Teacher at Seattle PlayGarden Preschool, an disability-inclusive nature program serving 3-6 year-olds. In the fall, I will be starting the M.Ed. - Early Childhood Special Education program at University of Washington, and I am looking for a part-time, daytime work where I can continue to connect with children while I earn my master's degree. In addition to childcare & teaching, I am also a professional performing artist! My bachelor's degree is in Theatre Performance and Creative Writing, and I am passionate about bringing my arts background to my work with children, through, song, dance, developmentally-relevant imaginative play, puppetry, and general creativity and silliness :)
