About Alyssa

Hi! My name is Alyssa, and I’m a recent Virginia Tech graduate with a bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and Health Sciences. I have several years of experience working with children in babysitting, nannying, recreation, and country club settings. I’ve cared for children ranging from toddlers to school-aged kids and am comfortable keeping them active, entertained, and safe throughout the day. I’ve worked as a nanny and babysitter for individual families, as well as in children’s programming where I planned activities, supervised swimming and outdoor play, organized games and crafts, and communicated with parents. My background in fitness and recreation also makes me a very active sitter—I love getting kids outside, going to the pool or park, playing games, and finding fun activities based on their interests. I’m CPR/AED and lifeguard certified, dependable, organized, and comfortable taking on responsibilities beyond basic childcare, including preparing meals and snacks, helping with routines, driving children to activities, and light tidying. I really enjoy building relationships with the families I work with and creating an environment where kids feel comfortable, safe, and have fun!
