About Malika

Hi! I’m Malika! I have several years of professional experience working with children of different ages, abilities, and developmental needs. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Rehabilitation Studies and pre-occupational therapy and currently work as a Registered Behavior Technician. I have experience with infants, twins, children with special needs, diapering, potty training, meals and snacks, nap and bedtime routines, and caring for multiple children at once. I’m CPR, First Aid, AED, and advanced child care certified by the American Red Cross. Before working in behavioral care, I also worked as a children’s birthday party host at KidZania, where I led activities, kept groups of kids engaged, and helped make their experiences exciting and memorable. That experience helped shape the playful side of how I work with children today! Outside of work, I love reading, staying active, and spending time with friends and family. I’m warm, patient, dependable, and playful, and I love getting to know each child’s personality and finding activities they genuinely enjoy. Whether we’re playing games, being creative, getting outside, or winding down with a book, I want kids to feel safe, comfortable, and excited to have me as their sitter.
