About Chetarah

Hi! My name is Chetarah, and I am a responsible, patient, and caring college student at Texas Southern University. I’m a mom of a 10 month old and I have several years of experience working with children of all ages, from infants as young as 3 months old to pre-teens. My childcare experience includes working as a Child Watch Counselor at the YMCA, where I supervised children ages 3 months to 12 years old, created engaging activities, and helped develop positive social skills. I also worked as a Youth Basketball Instructor, teaching children ages 2-10 the fundamentals of basketball while building their confidence, teamwork, and character. Currently, I work as a substitute teacher, where I manage classrooms, engage students, and create a safe and positive learning environment. Families describe me as dependable, energetic, and attentive. I enjoy keeping children active, helping with homework, playing games, and creating fun experiences while ensuring their safety at all times. My strong communication skills, patience, and leadership experience allow me to connect with children and provide parents with peace of mind when they are away.
