I previously worked at a daycare for about a year, where I primarily cared for toddlers and children preparing for Head Start. I also worked with school-aged children in the after-school program. My responsibilities included diaper changes, bottle feeding, burping infants, meal and snack supervision, nap time, playtime, and age-appropriate learning activities. Although my daycare experience was about five years ago, I’ve continued working with youth in my current role as a Prevention Specialist. Through both my professional experience and caring for younger family members, I’ve continued building the patience, communication, and responsibility needed to care for children. I’m comfortable caring for newborns through school-age children and have experience working with children on the autism spectrum. I’ve also cared for children with food allergies and understand the importance of following parents’ instructions, routines, and dietary restrictions. My goal is always to create a safe, fun, and caring environment where children feel comfortable and parents have peace of mind.
