Hi! My name is Simone, and I’m a 24-year-old caregiver with 8 years of combined formal and informal childcare experience working with infants through school-aged children. Caring for children isn’t just something I do—it’s something I genuinely love and feel called to. My background includes babysitting, nannying, and extensive church involvement in nursery, children’s, and youth ministry, as well as formal roles such as church infant classroom supervisor, 2–3-year-old daycare teacher, substitute teacher, elementary Sunday school teacher, and K–5 curriculum and team lead. I’m most comfortable caring for children 15+ months through school age, and I enjoy supporting both their emotional and developmental growth. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Spanish, completed 72 hours of teacher certification training, and am CPR and First Aid certified. I am also currently a master’s student pursuing licensure in Marriage and Family Therapy, with a focus on parents, adolescents, couples, and families—giving me a strong foundation in evidence-based, developmentally appropriate care. Families often describe me as patient, fun, structured, and a great communicator. I believe in gentle discipline, meaningful routines, and creating a safe, nurturing environment where children can learn and thrive. I’m happy to help with homework, homeschool support, early learning for children not yet in school, and I enjoy partnering with parents to support growth beyond basic babysitting. I’m a follower of Jesus and actively involved in my church, and I’m comfortable incorporating faith-based values or curriculum into care if desired. I’m also bilingual in English and Spanish and love tutoring or teaching Spanish in age-appropriate, engaging ways.
