About Victoria

I have several years of meaningful childcare experience through both paid and volunteer roles, working with children ranging from 1½ years olds to over 10 years old. During my sophomore, junior, and senior years of high school, I regularly cared for multiple children in my community. Through this experience, I developed strong relationships with the children and their families while learning how to support kids at different developmental stages. My responsibilities included supervising playtime, preparing simple meals and snacks, helping with bedtime routines, assisting with homework, and creating activities that were both engaging and age-appropriate. Over time, I became someone families trusted deeply with the care and safety of their children. In addition, I served as a teacher’s assistant for a Wednesday evening children’s program where I worked closely with groups of children to help them understand their assignments, complete homework activities, and stay focused during learning time. This experience helped me strengthen my patience, communication skills, and ability to guide children in a positive and encouraging way. Currently, I volunteer in a program where I help teach elementary school students from first through fifth grade about robotics and engineering concepts. In this role, I assist children in understanding basic problem-solving, teamwork, and creativity while making learning fun and interactive. It has been incredibly rewarding to help spark curiosity and confidence in young learners. Because of my experience and the relationships I’ve built with families, I was recently asked by a mother to care for her one-year-old son and six-year-old daughter throughout the summer while she works as a physician assistant. Being trusted with children of such young ages is something I take very seriously, and I am honored that families feel confident in my ability to provide attentive, responsible, and nurturing care. Overall, my childcare experience has taught me how to be patient, attentive, responsible, and supportive of children’s emotional and developmental needs. I truly enjoy spending time with kids, building positive relationships with them, and creating a safe, engaging environment where they feel cared for and encouraged to grow.
