About Leilani

I first began working with children as a junior camp counselor for the YMCA. I was responsible for keeping constant head counts, ensuring camper safety, supervising and organizing activities, providing swimming lessons to campers etc. I also have camp experience working with the South Orange Recreational camp where I had the same responsibilities outside of providing swim lessons. I am in the process of receiving my child/adult CPR / AED & First Aid certification with Red Cross. I also have private babysitting experience with two different families. For one of the families, I was responsible for cooking for their son. Playing different games with him and helping him expand both his ELA and math knowledge. The other family, I was responsible for working with a child with Intellectual Development Disabilities. I was required to administer the medicine for her autism, bathe her, feed her, and keep her entertained throughout the day. As well as working through any breakdowns when needed.
