About Sara

🎓I am a current sophomore at Pennsylvania State University where I study psychology and minor in Human Development and Family Studies! I am a Dean’s List Student for both semesters I’ve completed. 🧑‍🍼👶 I’ve been working with children since 2021 and have experience caring for infants, toddlers, and older kids ranging from 7 months to 13 years old. 🎗️For the past two summers, I have worked at Sunrise Day Camp, a camp for children with cancer and their siblings. As a Head Counselor for a group of 12-18 kindergartners, I led daily activities, supervised campers, and helped create a fun, safe, and supportive environment. 👩‍🏫 In 2025 I completed a 3 month internship as a kindergarten teaching assistant , where I assisted the teacher with classroom activities, worked one-on-one with students, and gained valuable experience supporting young children’s learning and development. In addition, I tutor students from kindergarten through 5th grade, helping them build confidence and improve their skills in a variety of subjects from reading to math. 👩‍🔬This summer I’ve started working as a research assistant in a child psychology lab at Penn State, where I learn about child development and behavior through developmental psychology research. 🩷 Whether I’m babysitting, at camp, in the classroom, tutoring, or in the lab, I love helping children learn, grow, and have fun. I’m patient, dependable, responsible, and committed to creating a safe and positive environment for every child in my care. IMPORTANT NOTES📝🐈 • I do have an allergy to cats, but as long as I am informed of any cats present atleast 24 hours in advanced I can take my medicine and be just fine!
