About Amanda

Hello! My name is Amanda, and caring for children and animals has always been my passion. From a young age, I knew I wanted to build a career working with kids, and I plan to continue my education by returning to college to pursue a degree in education. I have a lifetime of experience caring for children and pets. Growing up, I helped care for my three nieces and nephew, and I often assisted my sister with the children she nannied. Today, I'm also a proud great-aunt to a wonderful baby boy, whom I help care for from time to time. Professionally, I have worked with children ranging from 4 months to 11 years old in a variety of settings. My experience includes volunteering and working at summer camps, providing private childcare, serving as an assistant teacher for toddlers, preschoolers, and elementary-aged children through 2nd grade, and working as an infant teacher caring for up to six infants at a time alongside an assistant teacher. I have also worked as a paraprofessional (one-on-one aide) supporting children with special needs, which strengthened my patience, adaptability, and commitment to meeting each child's unique needs. In addition to childcare, I have extensive experience caring for animals. I have worked in a kennel environment, supervising and caring for groups of up to 15 dogs at a time, and I am comfortable providing attentive, loving care to pets of all kinds. Families describe me as dependable, patient, nurturing, and flexible. I have reliable transportation, am available on weekends, and am happy to assist with both childcare and pet care needs. I look forward to helping families create a safe, fun, and supportive environment for their children and pets! 😊
