About Janiya
I started working in childcare the summer of 2024 as a babysitter. From September 2024 through August 2025, I worked at Lightbridge Academy, where my main age group was preschoolers — and I was also pulled into the younger classrooms whenever needed. While I was there, I also had the opportunity to babysit some of my preschoolers on weekends and whenever needed outside of work hours, which gave me great experience with consistent routines and building relationships with families. Since September 2025, I’ve been working at Primrose Schools. During my time there, I’ve worked with pre-kindergarten and preschool students, toddlers, and since January of this year, I’ve been working with older infants (12–18 months). Each age group has helped me grow in patience, adaptability, and engagement with children at different developmental stages.
