About Jenny

I have worked in childcare for over 20 years in school and home settings that include nature based care, Montessori, camps, and Waldorf inspired schools. In my most recent experience working at a Children’s Center, we practiced a form of care centered around respect and the Magda Gerber approach to children known as RIE (resources for infant educators). I am happy to talk more about this if you are interested in learning more. I have a bachelor’s degree in Studio Art and have studied Yoga and the Healing Arts as well as Permaculture. I recently stepped away from working at a children’s center in Brunswick because I need a part time job in order to pursue my Farm business. I am CPR certified. I am looking for an opportunity local to Brunswick Maine and have worked with all ages from infants to teens. I also love to cook and specialize in plant based and gluten free cooking. I am happy to do home chores, prepare meals, care for pets, etc. Your child’s time with me would be lead by their interests and dependent on your values. I personally value time spent in nature, setting an example in land stewardship and respect for all living things, creative expression, and providing loving care.
