About Nicolette

I have been caring for children since I was 15 years old, starting with my cousins’ children. Over the years, my family members have recommended me to friends and other families, allowing me to gain extensive experience working with children of all ages, from infants to teenagers. I am often described as mature, responsible, and dependable for my age. I take great pride in providing a safe, nurturing, and positive environment where children can learn, grow, and have fun. I genuinely care about the well-being of every child I work with and strive to build trusting relationships with both children and their families. I enjoy planning engaging indoor and outdoor activities that encourage creativity, learning, physical activity, and social development. Whether it’s arts and crafts, educational games, outdoor adventures, homework assistance, or simply being a supportive presence, I tailor my care to each child’s unique needs and personality. In addition to my childcare experience, I worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the Float Pool at UNC Hospital. My primary units included the NICU, Pediatric Emergency Department (PEDS ED), Children’s and Adolescent Psychiatry, and various pediatric inpatient units. This experience strengthened my ability to remain calm under pressure, provide compassionate care, and prioritize children’s safety and well-being. I am passionate about working with children and committed to creating a caring, fun, and secure environment where they can thrive.
