About Joanna

My experience with children began early through babysitting and volunteering in my church's Vacation Bible School program. I have also played an active role in helping care for my sister's children over the years, giving me experience supporting children of various ages and personalities. In addition to my experience caring for children through babysitting, church volunteer work, and helping raise my sister's children, I also founded and operated a specialty food company in the Nashville area for 7 years called The Kind Cake. Because my products were allergen-free and many of my customers were parents of children with food allergies, food safety, quality control, and trust were non-negotiable. I implemented strict protocols to prevent cross-contamination and maintained high standards in every aspect of production and fulfillment. Building a business that served families with significant dietary concerns required attention to detail, consistency, and a strong sense of responsibility. Over time, I earned the trust of customers throughout the Nashville metropolitan area who relied on my products to provide safe options for their children. This experience reinforced my commitment to safety, accountability, and serving others with care.
