About Joanna

My name is Joanna L, and I just graduated from Mississippi State in the spring with a 4.0 in Human Development and Family Sciences! I have been nannying and babysitting for the past 11 years, and I am on the lookout for any full time job opportunity! I have always loved kids, and I have always dreamed of the day I get to be a mom! Because I have nannied for years, I have gotten to experience all different family dynamics, different behavioral patterns, and babies and kids of all ages. I have a reliable vehicle I am able to drive wherever, and in terms of schedule I am flexible for anything! Child advocacy is my biggest passion, and I have spent the past 5 years studying and learning the depths of behavior, trauma, different attachment styles, and different ways to handle each situation! I truly believe the Lord has blessed me with an empathetic and intentional heart to love on babies, and every time I have been given the opportunity to do so, it has been so fruitful. I want to be able to nanny full time because I genuinely feel like that is where my heart leads. I love being a nanny, because you get to become a best friend and a role model to a little child who might just need love or attention. It is so sweet to see how connected you can get to a child who isn’t your own, and it makes me even more expectant for when I have my own baby. In terms of skills and experience , I have dealt with meal prepping, taking care of the stomach bug, driving to and from school and practice, feeding, waking up and putting to bed, and bathing. I really am open to anything and everything!
