About Morgan

Hello! My name is Morgan and I’m currently in school for Respiratory Therapy after 5 years working in Early Childhood Special Education. For the past 4 years, I have spent most weekends nannying for a family with 6 kids! My professional experience includes caring for children with a broad range of ages, stages of development, and medical complexities. The bulk of my experience is with children 6 weeks through age 5. My overall experience includes newborns up to age 13. The special educational setting let me regularly work with and learn from specialists like occupational therapists, physical therapists, and speech pathologists who have dedicated their practice to early childhood development. Through continuing education opportunities, I have completed trainings on how to best support kids and adults with disabilities or developmental delays, including safe crisis management. Having worked in the public school system, I have passed many background checks, hold a substitute teacher certification, and certification in infant/child/adult CPR and first aid. I am also certified in Basic Life Support. I graduated from Mizzou in 2022 with a B.S. in Psychology and a minor in Leadership & Public Service. During college, I most enjoyed learning American Sign Language, interning at Rainbow House, and volunteering with Child Life Services at UMCH. I have a special interest in children with advanced healthcare needs. My experience includes: tube feeds, tracheostomy/ventilator care, catheter/ostomy maintenance, and more. I have cared for many NICU graduates :) Please note- I do not carry professional credentials that qualify me as any sort of nurse or certified provider. My experience is from caring for family, special education work, volunteering, and specific trainings.
