About Maryn

have extensive childcare experience that began at age 12 through regular babysitting, where I developed strong skills in supervision, safety, and age-appropriate engagement. I later worked in a daycare setting for two years, supporting children’s daily routines, social–emotional development, and play-based learning. Currently, I work as a patient care assistant for a young girl with autism, where I provide individualized support, assist with daily living needs, and use patience, structure, and empathy to meet her unique developmental and emotional needs. I also hold a degree in psychology with a minor in child development studies, which has strengthened my understanding of child behavior, development, and learning. I especially enjoy learning about play and how it supports children’s cognitive, social, and emotional growth. Currently I am enrolled in an online masters program for social work.
