About Noelle

Hi! I'm Noelle Paek, a 20-year-old student at Carleton College majoring in English and Classics. I've been caring for kids for as long as I can remember, and it's easily my favorite way to spend an afternoon. Most of my babysitting experience has been with three- and four-year-olds and with seven- to nine-year-olds, and I enjoy both stages for different reasons. With little ones I stick closely to your routines for naps, snacks, and bedtime, and I'm patient with big feelings. With older kids I like giving them a say in how we spend our time, whether that's a scavenger hunt, a board game, or an elaborate pillow fort! Before any of this, I grew up as one of the older cousins in a big family, which taught me more about kids than any job could. I also tutor SAT prep and work at Carleton's Writing Center, and I've worked with students from elementary school through college. I love teaching, so I'm comfortable helping with homework or reading practice if that's useful to you. And I love animals, so pets in the house are a bonus, not a problem! Most of all, I'm hoping to find families to work with over the long term. Kids settle faster with someone they know, and I'd much rather be a familiar face than a name on a list. I'm always happy to meet first so you can ask me anything.
