About Tori

Hello! My name is Tori, and I'm a college student at Grand Valley State University with a genuine love for working with children. I've been caring for kids for years and truly enjoy helping them learn, grow, and have fun in a safe, supportive environment. I'm patient, dependable, responsible, and energetic, and I always strive to make children feel comfortable and cared for while giving parents peace of mind. I love doing arts and crafts, drawing, outdoor activities, playing games, reading stories, and helping with I've been babysitting for several years and have been paid to care for children through friends, family, and referrals from family friends. Many of my babysitting opportunities have come through word of mouth, which has allowed me to build strong, trusting relationships with the families I work with. In addition to babysitting, I've coached little league cheer teams and volunteered in daycare and school settings through community service, giving me experience working with children of different ages and personalities. I also have experience caring for children on the autism spectrum. I understand that every child has unique needs, and I approach each child with patience, flexibility, and compassion. I work to create a calm, structured, and supportive environment where children feel safe, understood, and encouraged. I'm comfortable preparing meals and snacks, helping with homework, tutoring, creating fun and engaging activities, managing bedtime routines, and doing light housekeeping related to the children. My top priorities are safety, communication, and making sure every child feels valued and cared for. I treat every family with professionalism and every child with the same kindness, patience, and attention I would want for my own loved ones.
