About Journee

Hi! My name is Journee, and I'm a compassionate and attentive caregiver with a strong background working with infants and children. I currently work as a newborn hearing screener, where I care for and assess newborns using gentle, non-invasive techniques. Additionally, I am an ABA (behavioral) technician working with children with various developmental needs. I spend my time tailoring 1:1 care to aid children in their day to day lives with the hopes of progressing development and independence. These roles have strengthened my patience, attention to detail, and ability to maintain babies and children calm, safe, and comfortable. I also have personal experience caring for my autistic cousin, which has helped me develop a deeper understanding of patience, flexibility, and meeting children where they are. I'm mindful of different needs, communication styles, and the importance of creating a calm, supportive environment for every child. I truly value giving children the space to freely be themselves—to explore, play, and express their personalities—while still providing structure and safety. Whether I'm caring for a newborn or an older child, I focus on being present, nurturing, and responsive to their individual needs. Families can count on me to provide a safe, calm, and positive environment where their children are cared for with both professionalism and genuine warmth. I also have my own car if transportation is ever necessary.
