About Lakeya

I am 35 years old. I have been a nanny/sitter for 17 years and plan to continue on this track. I have experience working with kids of all ages, from newborns to teenagers. I also have experience with twins/multiples as well as children with special needs. I have experience as a preschool teacher as well as an assistant preschool teacher. I have my CPR and First Aid certification. I am also certified as a Newborn Care Specialist. I have a genuine and absolute love for children. I enjoy being active and imaginative with kids. I love every thing from arts&crafts to dress up to museum trips and playing make believe. I engage with by taking them to the park, the museum, Botanical Garden, the carousel, creating an art project, or reading a colorful book. I understand that each child is different and it is all about finding what works on an individual basis. I love being a part of helping children learn and grow. Interacting with kids in all activities is what I do best. Whether it's work time or play time, I am there and ready to be a part of it. I am fun-loving, reliable, enthusiastic, and compassionate. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family & friends, cooking, baking, writing, and reading. I'm available to work on the weekends, on-call, holidays, vacations, overnights, and date nights. I am also available on short notice and overtime.
