About Reid

Hi! I’m a recent graduate of the University of Georgia and am originally from Nashville, Tennessee. I have always loved working with children and have been babysitting for families since high school, caring for kids of a variety of ages and personalities. One of the most meaningful parts of my experience with children comes from spending three summers working at the camp Pine Cove Springs, where I had the opportunity to care for, encourage, and build relationships with kids in a fun and fast-paced environment. During my time there, I took on increasing leadership responsibilities, which taught me how to be patient, adaptable, dependable, and confident handling everything from everyday routines to unexpected challenges. I have also worked with children through volunteering and other community programs, including experiences with young children and children with disabilities. These opportunities have taught me that every child is different and that building trust often means taking the time to understand their individual personality, needs, and interests. I love creating an environment where kids can have fun, be themselves, and feel safe and cared for. Whether that means playing outside, doing crafts, helping with homework, reading together, preparing meals, or keeping up with a busy routine, I’m happy to jump in wherever I’m needed. I’m responsible, energetic, patient, and genuinely enjoy getting to know both the children and their families.
