About Malia

Hello, my name is Malia R. I am currently a second-year student at Georgia State Perimeter College, where I am studying Business and Entrepreneurship. After earning my degree, I plan to attend trade school to become a licensed cosmetologist and aesthetician. My goal is to combine my business knowledge with my passion for beauty and wellness so I can eventually build and manage a successful business of my own. I previously worked with young children through a program called Leap Year, where I served as an assistant teacher for first and second grade students. This experience strengthened my communication, leadership, and teamwork skills while allowing me to make a positive impact on children's learning and development. I am the oldest of six children and have five younger siblings. Growing up as the oldest has taught me responsibility, patience, leadership, and the importance of setting a positive example. It has also strengthened my ability to communicate, problem-solve, and care for others. If I were to describe myself, I would say I am open-minded, imaginative, and a quick learner. I enjoy meeting new people and building meaningful connections, which is why I consider myself a social butterfly. I work well with others, bring a positive attitude to every environment, and enjoy finding creative solutions to challenges. I am always eager to learn, grow, and take on new opportunities that help me develop both personally and professionally. I am excited to use both my education and trade skills to create a meaningful career while making a positive impact on the people I serve.
