My name is TaLia A, and I am a 24-year-old special education professional dedicated to supporting students with diverse needs. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Special Education from Columbus State University in May 2024 and I am currently pursuing my Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis at Columbus State University, with the goal of becoming a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). My career in education began as a special education paraprofessional, where I gained hands-on classroom experience and developed a strong foundation in individualized student support. I now work as a specialized autism teacher in a self-contained classroom, providing targeted instruction and behavioral support to students with complex needs. I also have experience teaching special education in Alaska, which broadened my perspective and enhanced my adaptability across various educational environments. Additionally, I have served as a lead instructor for afterschool programs and summer camps, where I designed and implemented engaging, developmentally appropriate activities for diverse learner groups. I also come from a large family with six siblings and have over 10 years of experience providing consistent care and support for them, which helped shape my nurturing, patient, and responsible approach to working with children. My professional background reflects a deep commitment to fostering meaningful growth and independence for students through evidence-based strategies and compassionate, student-centered support. Summer schedule: Full Time Availability School in session: I am a sped teacher so I am only available during the week after 4:00 pm. My work schedule is 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.
