Hi! My name is Leah, and I recently graduated from Rollins College with a degree Social Entrepreneurship with a minor in Communication Studies. I am passionate about working with children and helping them learn, grow, and build confidence. I have several years of experience supporting young people through tutoring, mentoring, and youth leadership roles. As an Ignite Fellow, I provided one-on-one virtual tutoring to students, helping them strengthen their academic skills while creating a positive and encouraging learning environment. I also served as a Youth Leader with the Rethink Citizens Youth Coalition, where I mentor and support young people through leadership development and community engagement activities. These experiences have helped me develop patience, strong communication skills, creativity, and the ability to connect with children of different ages and personalities. Whether assisting with homework, reading stories, playing games, doing crafts, or simply ensuring children have a safe and enjoyable time, I strive to create a supportive and engaging environment. Families describe me as responsible, dependable, caring, and enthusiastic. I understand the importance of safety, communication, and building trust with both children and parents. My goal is always to make children feel comfortable, supported, and valued while giving parents peace of mind.
