About Wanda

In my younger life, I managed an emergency placement center (for twelve children) who were taken from abusive/neglect situations. Later, I gave birth to and raised a child of my own. As his mom, I was involved in every childhood adventure. This included sewing costumes for our town's children's theater, volunteering to teach children how to read/write in schools, all things related to scouting merit badges, selling cokes and popcorn at football games and hosting a safe space for his friends to gather. One day, the child I raised left home and moved away and now I'm missing all the little people I once had in my life. I'm at the grandma stage of life wishing I could read books, watch children play in a park and maybe push a swing. I'm not as young as I once was but I still have the eagle eyes and instinct of a mom and I'd love to rock some little ones to sleep.
