About Kara

Hi, I'm Kara! I've been babysitting since I was 12, so caring for kids has been a part of my life for over a decade. I started out watching neighbor kids in Chicago, and when my family moved to Arkansas, I kept going with family friends' children. One summer I worked as a full time nanny for a family with two boys in middle school and junior high, which taught me how to keep older kids engaged, on schedule, and having fun. I've also babysat for many foster families, and I understand the extra patience, consistency, and gentleness that kids in transition need. While living in Atlanta, I nannied for a family for several months and became a go to sitter for many families at my church. Coming from a large family, I'm comfortable with busy households, multiple kids, and all ages from little ones to preteens. Now that I'm back in Arkansas, I'd love to help your family with date nights, after school care, weekends, or whatever you need. Parents can count on me to be reliable, communicate clearly, and treat your kids like family.
