About Samiya

I have over three years of paid childcare experience working with children in a variety of settings. As a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), I have worked with children in homes, clinics, and schools, providing one-on-one support to help develop communication, social, behavioral, and daily living skills. I create engaging activities, manage challenging behaviors using positive reinforcement, and ensure each child is safe, supported, and encouraged to reach their goals. I also worked at DBH and Sun Behavioral, where I cared for and supported children and adolescents in behavioral health settings. My responsibilities included supervising daily activities, maintaining a safe environment, assisting with routines, de-escalating challenging situations, and providing compassionate support during times of crisis. In addition, I have babysitting experience caring for children of different ages, helping with meals, homework, playtime, and bedtime routines. These experiences have made me patient, dependable, and able to adapt to each child’s individual needs.
