About Maya

Hi! I’m Maya Farion, an 19 year-old nursing student at Sacred Heart University with a passion for caring for children and helping them learn and grow. I have over five years of hands-on childcare experience working with children of all ages, from infants to preteens. I started by working at a daycare and summer camp, where I cared for children ages 2 to 4 through play, learning activities, meals, and daily routines for 4 years. I also volunteered three times a week with basketball and volleyball programs for children ages 1 to 6, helping keep activities fun, organized, and safe. I worked as an assistant teacher at a Polish school, where I help teach and care for children ages 4 to 6. This role has strengthened my patience, communication skills, and ability to support children’s learning in a positive environment. In addition, I have experience as both a babysitter and nanny. I babysat an infant and a 2-year-old for one family, providing attentive care, feeding, playtime, bedtime routines, and age-appropriate activities. I also worked as a nanny for a family with a 2-year-old and 4-year-old, managing daily routines, preparing meals and snacks, planning engaging activities, and creating a safe, nurturing environment. I have also worked as a private tutor for a 12-year-old, helping with math and English homework, building confidence, and making learning enjoyable. As a future nurse, I understand the importance of safety, responsibility, and compassionate care. I genuinely love spending time with children, whether we’re playing outside, doing crafts, reading stories, helping with homework, or simply making everyday routines fun. My goal is to create a caring, dependable environment where children feel happy and parents feel completely at ease.
