About April

Hello, my name is April, I currently go to San Francisco State University. My childcare experience has taught me how to create a safe, fun, and supportive environment for children. As an After-School Volunteer at John Muir Elementary School, I supervised students, helped with homework, and led activities such as arts and crafts, cooking, baking, and group games. I encouraged teamwork, positive behavior, and confidence while making sure every child felt included and supported. As a Tutor at John Adams Middle School, I worked one-on-one with students to help them understand schoolwork, improve their skills, and build confidence in the classroom. These experiences helped me become patient, responsible, and dependable. I enjoy working with children, building positive relationships, and helping them learn, grow, and have fun in a safe and welcoming environment.
