About Camora

Hi! My name is Camora, and I am a second-year student at Sacramento State majoring in Health Science. Although I have not had a professional babysitting job before, I have spent most of my life caring for and looking after younger family members. As one of the oldest in my family, I have naturally taken on the responsibility of helping care for younger children, which has taught me patience, responsibility, communication, and how to keep children safe and comfortable. I have also gained experience working with children through a mentorship program, where I spent time mentoring younger kids and participating in activities with them. This experience helped me become more comfortable understanding different personalities, keeping children engaged, and being a positive role model. My Health Science major has also given me an interest in working with and helping people of different ages. I previously worked at a healthcare center with older adults, where I learned the importance of patience, compassion, communication, and being attentive to other people’s needs. I believe these skills are also very important when caring for children. Outside of school and work experiences, I enjoy staying active and involved in different activities. I have participated in dance and flag football and have also been a manager, which has helped me develop teamwork, organization, leadership, and the ability to stay calm in busy environments. I would love the opportunity to bring my experience, caring personality, and responsibility to a babysitting position. I am excited to gain professional childcare experience while doing something I have already enjoyed throughout my life helping care for and support younger children.
